Starting point: a confirmed design
Before any manufacturing begins, the design itself is locked in through the brief and mockup stages: your logo, colourway, sock model and grip pattern are all confirmed visually so there is a clear specification to manufacture against. Knitting the sock
Manufacturing starts with knitting: the base sock is constructed on knitting machines using the yarn blend specified for your order, whether that is standard combed cotton or a blend chosen for specific performance qualities like breathability or cushioning. This is also the stage where jacquard branding is produced, if that is the technique chosen for your logo — rather than being added afterward, a jacquard design is built directly into the knit structure as the sock is formed, which is why it requires the machine to be configured specifically for your pattern before knitting begins. Applying the silicone grip
Once the base sock is knitted, the silicone grip layer is applied to the sole. Adding embroidery or other finishing details
If your design includes ankle embroidery, contrast panels, frilled edges or any other applied detail, this is generally done after the base sock is knitted and before final quality inspection. Embroidery is stitched directly onto the finished cuff, giving it the raised, textured finish that distinguishes it from a jacquard design woven into the knit itself. Quality control
